Young at Art brought to life a collection of five vibrant, youth-powered creative hubs across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Through exhibiting young people's work, staging live music performances, and offering interactive visual and written-art activities, it let our emerging stars shine and celebrate their creative identities in front of a region-wide audience.
Part of the 2021 Summernova Festival, Young at Art gave rangatahi from all corners of Tāmaki Makaurau new opportunities to showcase their talents and represent their own communities.
The impact reached far beyond each individual artist, empowering young people to share their creative mahi with their whānau and community.
It was amazing seeing my family members checking the tower out on their Instagram stories. I really feel, in this small way, I made my Papa proud. Mum couldn't stop crying! Words cannot express my appreciation.
