YANZ collaborated with Fresh Concept and Heart of the City to bring improvised dance and music performances to Auckland's Christmas celebrations, surprising shoppers and families on Queen Street with pockets of live, festive joy.
The programme included an interactive "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" performance pairing piano with dance, alongside other Christmas and assorted pieces. Improvisation kept every performance fresh and responsive to the crowd around it.
It's a great example of YANZ working with established partners to place youth talent in high-footfall public moments: paid, professional, and seen.
