Just before the Prada Cup began in January 2021, Auckland Unlimited approached the YANZ team to bring live musical performances to spectators and visitors on Auckland's waterfront. The result was 25 days of performances across four sites at Mission Bay and the "Last Mile" between Britomart and Viaduct Harbour.
The America's Cup and Prada Cup performances provided well-paid gig work for over 30 youth creatives across 89 performances from January to March. For Tāmaki Makaurau's local youth talent to play alongside the races, performing to a nationwide audience, was extremely special.
