Leadership role

Mā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua.

We sought another co-manager to join our passionate team of indigenous creatives at Te Kāhui, Youth Arts New Zealand.

Te Kāhui has operated in Correctional facilities and communities across the motu since 2020, empowering accessible and equitable creative expression through tailored wānanga, remote booklets, publication opportunities and more.

The role

Alongside our existing manager, the co-manager oversees the operational, strategic and creative direction of the kaupapa. The mahi involves:

  • Coordinating with communities and Correctional facilities hosting Te Kāhui
  • Supporting the team to meet strategic and funding goals
  • Being supported to facilitate wānanga too

We sought candidates based in (or willing to relocate to) Tāmaki Makaurau who could demonstrate their ability to work well in a team, centre indigenous empowerment, and communicate effectively toward co-designed creative outcomes.
